Petrolin Group is pleased to announce that it has just obtained from Benin’s Minister for Sustainable Living Model and Development (Cadre de Vie et du Développement Durable) the requisite Environmental Compliance Certificate for the planned construction of the oil, mineral and commercial deep-water port at Sèmè-Podji, Benin. The deep-water port is an integrated component of the «Epine Dorsale» or Backbone Project.

"Issuance of the Environmental Compliance Certificate marks a major milestone for both the Republic of Benin and Petrolin Group. We greatly appreciate the laudable contributions and efforts made by all those who took part in the environmental compliance process", said Mr Samuel Dossou, Petrolin Group Chairman & CEO.
This certificate paves the way for the construction of the second deep-water port in the country, in a property covering an area of 1006 ha.
