Bayoot-10, spudded on 23rd July 2010, was the fifth well to be planned based on mapping of the 3D seismic volume and was intended to appraise the eastern continuation of the Bayoot Field. The well, drilled to a TD of 3112.5 m TVD was targeted down-dip of the crest of the structure to intersect three seismically mapped fracture zones and completed for production by 4th October 2010. Oil shows were observed through a significant section of the drilled basement, mud losses of 25,104 bbls were recorded during drilling and 3,409 bbls losses associated with basement stimulation. The well is currently producing about 1150 bbl/d using an ESP.
