Mr. Madan, who holds a degree in mechanical engineering, has held senior executive and management positions in
- RITES (An Infrastructure and Consulting company of 35 years standing and International repute)
- Ministry of Railways, India
- Indian Operating Railways, Manufacturing Units and
- International assignments.
On Indian Railways his responsibilities ranged from passenger and freight transport operations to the management of infrastructure maintenance and railway policy development.
He has over 15 years experience with RITES with 5 years as a Director of the company. During this period he presided over major projects and contributed to the development of rail networks in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. He has lead multi-disciplinary teams in various areas such as operational improvement plans for rail systems and maintenance facilities development, among others. He was also in -charge of consulting services for Public- Private Partnership in infrastructure projects.
He served as Chief Executive Officer on a major railway project in Africa involving construction, and operations.
He has worked for Ernst & Young on projects in India, and as Independent Director of Mineral Exploration Corporation of India.
Presently he is also Presiding Arbitrator/Arbitrator in infrastructure related contracts involving major companies in India.
